How Do I Add Google Chrome
Can’t say we didn’t warn you! Disclaimer It is generally legal to share and embed YouTube videos on the Internet, but downloading them for your own personal use offline is a different story. Google has a long history of home page with “I’m Feeling Lucky’” button. Even if it is very less used feature, Google is still not removing it just because it looks good on home page. This button does not do something extraordinary but to redirect you first search result without showing search results page. So, write a query and then click on this button to directly visit the first result. If you want to do the same in YouTube, you have no option there.
But this Google Chrome extension can help you in this. Type a search keyword and click on this button to directly visit the first result. This can save lots of time by skipping the search results page. This works awesome in most of the times. But it will redirect you on weird results for those queries which shows unofficial or viral videos high in YouTube search results than official video. So, you will not always land on a relevant result. Still, it is good.
You can always use the search button to see results and then click on any desirable video link. Try this Google Chrome extension and share how you feel about this.
I've tried the 'tricks' (add command line to Target line) suggested to add a bookmark button to Chrome taskbar but it doesn't work on my newly installed Google Chrome vs18. I refuse to lose screen real estate by adding an entire toolbar just for bookmarks! I also don't want to toogle 'show bookmark toolbar' back and forth. Is there something in the works to make the Chrome toolbar more customizable, as I can do in Firefox? I'd also like to add print, history, and a couple more often used shortcuts on the main toolbar.
From what I read here, this isn't possible yet. I wouldn't mind having Chrome as an alternate or main browser, but customizing toolbar and preserving screen space is of prime importance. Can anyone help? Cavertim 11.04.12 10:03. Hi Claudaki, I read where you can do that; however, I wanted a permanent bookmark button on my main toolbar, similar to Firefox's, which activates a dropdown menu of bookmarks. I don't want to toogle show/hide separate toolbar constantly to access this often used function.
Since trying to find an answer to this, I've also learned you really can't organize bookmarks very well in Chrome, and there's a puzzling limit to how many bookmarks you can have (I have lots!). In FF, I have all my important functions (bookmarks, print, etc.) on 1 skinny little toolbar on top, perhaps that important feature will be added to Chrome eventually. Appreciate your suggestion, though - thanks. Claudaki 15.04.12 8:20.
